REViEW: Due -fast reminders, reusable egg timers (+Universal)

Ever wished you could jot down a task and set up a reminder alert really, really fast?

The beauty of Due lies in its simplicity. There’s no account to create, no syncing to do, no duration to set, no need to prioritize, tag nor categorize.

What there is however are what that matters: a note for your reminder, and an alert that is set up in mere seconds.

Zombies and to-do list/reminder apps… what does the app store have more of? Maybe nothing… but I’ll  place a bet on there being no easier, simpler and intuitively designed app than Due.

If you’re looking for flash and pizazz then Due is not the place to be looking. If however you’re looking for a functional, easily used, quick setup for reminders, then this app has it in spades.

It’s simple design belies the tonne of features it has installed… impossible to list them all but a few features standout.

Firstly, no wifi or net required, its all there without having to run your battery down or be in range of a hotspot. There are also reusable ‘egg timers’ so no need to set an entire reminder up again and with this new update, its only 2 taps away. Preset often used times and jump to them quickly with one tap. It has a logbook of past reminders, making it very simple if you need to reuse something… honestly, the list goes on and your fingers never have to do much walking.

What makes this app special is that it’s full of features yet remains uncomplicated… this might seem a simple task to achieve but take a look at what is out there and you’ll know that many apps miss that boat. What should be a simple exercise in setting reminders is actually achieved in this app.

Whats also great to note is that with its first update the developer has listed more tweeks and functionality than any other app I’ve ever seen. Buying an app shouldn’t be the end of the process but the beginning, and it seems that this developer is going to look after his customers well (check out his What’s Ahead page).

This app will belong on your home screen, front and centre.
