The Words

Data Hunter is a well-put together app with you acting as a space traveler salvaging data from alien infested vessels. It’s an engaging game with few flaws and interesting game play. However, its few flaws detract from it being a truly stellar app.

The controls seem a little sloppy and hard to manage and after long game play can become a little annoying. Also there is no map… I get lost in my own bedroom let alone a derelict spaceship. On one level I found myself returning to the same spot….granted, I may be slower than the average app user, but I bet others have found this an annoyance as well. Finally, no save until the end of a level… this just can’t be explained away.

However, saying all this, it’s a great app with potential. With a little tweaking here and there it should be really good to go. Also story mode has a little comic intro that is very nicely done.
