The Words

As the name says, you take control of one of a variety of low gravity racers speeding along a futuristic track against a hand full of other opponents. A simple tilt of your device deftly alters the control as you speed along, at what we can best ascertain as, well, bloody fast. Along the track you can pick-up bonus objects that allow for instance, you to shot a rocket ahead of you to slow down those in front. This game is played at speed and what Cobra Games has done, yet again, is provide you with stunning graphics and perfect calibrated controls. Often on an iPhone the accelerometer control can feel sloppy or unsuited…here it doesn’t. While it takes a while to master, once you’re in the flow you move and groove like a naked body soaked in baby oil moving down a ‘Slip’n’Slide’ covered in washing detergent…not that I’ve ever done that before but if I had, I imagine this is what it would feel like…without the mess…or your neighbours screaming at you to stop.
